Open-Built® — Plumbing
As with all of the mechanical systems, plumbing is considered during the design phase. In order to keep plumbing runs short and efficient, plumbed areas are typically consolidated and stacked in the design. Plumbing is accommodated in our floor systems and interior walls, in order to eliminate the need to drill or notch timbers.
When plumbing must be run along an outside panel wall, a chase can be created with 2xs. Keeping the plumbing out of the panels maintains the integrity of the insulation in the panels.
Plumbing vents in our homes, as in conventionally framed homes, are tied together in interior walls or dropped ceilings, and vented through the roof.
