Ceiling Panels
The first floor ceiling panels, which are approximately 3 ft. by 4 ft., are made of shiplap boards fastened together in back with steel stiffeners. Each ceiling panel is designed to infill the space between the Open-Built® second floor joists. The panels complement the natural wood floor joists and are an elegant and natural method for finishing the ceiling. Your local builder will install the panels after electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians have finished their work inside the space, between the first floor ceiling and second floor. Because the panels are easily removable and interchangeable, they allow easy access to wiring and ducting. They also allow easy relocation of recessed and overhead lighting.
