Created as an eight-sided space for meetings and gatherings, the Harris Center meetinghouse features a cupola in the center and three windows in each wall to flood the space in warm, natural light. Each of the eight post-and-rafter combinations are strengthened by knee braces, each of which has a natural bend as found in the tree they were crafted from. All eight rafters are joined at the center of the roof by a large wooden compression ring.
